jemima & Andrew

There’s something rather lovely about a Dubai-based couple choosing the Cape Winelands to say “I do.” Jemima and Andrew brought their love story home to Boschendal this February, trading desert skies for rolling vineyards and dappled garden light. With Andrew’s career having taken them from London to Australia to Dubai, and Jemima building her own path in skincare, the pair wanted a day that felt effortless, warm and unmistakably them — surrounded by 80 of their nearest and dearest who travelled from across the globe to celebrate.

The brief was simple, but exacting: neutral, classy, chic. Working within a soft palette of neutrals and pastels, we let Boschendal’s natural beauty take centre stage — a garden ceremony framed by nothing more than chairs, flowers and that unbeatable backdrop, followed by a champagne and cocktail bar under the trees. The reception carried the same understated elegance through to a single banquet-style head table flanked by two long sides, dressed to feel intimate rather than formal. A pianist’s rendition of Ludovico Einaudi set the tone for the ceremony, before the evening gave way to dancing under DJ lights — and, in a lovely departure from tradition, the cake made its appearance the following day, with guests indulging in a long pavlova dessert table on the night itself.

If Jemima and Andrew’s garden-soaked, understated celebration has you dreaming of your own Cape Winelands wedding, we’d love to hear from you — get in touch with the I Do Box team to start planning your signature day.
