Simone & Wynand’s wedding unfolded against the timeless beauty of Molenvliet, where the Cape winelands’ rolling vineyards meet the dramatic peaks of the Groot Drakenstein mountains. This October celebration was the perfect union of old-world romance and modern simplicity — a day that felt both deeply personal and effortlessly elegant. As two career-driven, traditional hearts came together, we set out to create a wedding that honoured their story while giving them a day of pure celebration, surrounded by their nearest and dearest.

For Simone & Wynand, less was always more. Their vision centred on a palette of soft whites — baby’s breath cascading alongside white roses and tulips — kept deliberately uncluttered so the natural beauty of the setting could take centre stage. We layered the design with candlelight throughout, from the ceremony to the reception tables, creating warmth and intimacy without overwhelming the clean, modern aesthetic they loved. Long rectangular tables ran through a draped, garden-inspired reception space, while the ceremony lawns — framed by mountains on one side and manicured gardens on the other — became the perfect backdrop for their vows. It was romantic without being fussy, and refined without losing its warmth — modern minimalism at its most beautiful.
